A post on the KBO app warning of a stabbing threat has prompted police to investigate. The police have deployed 200 experienced officers to the scene in case something happens.
At 3:39 p.m. on the 5th, a post on the KBO app ‘Cheering for Samsung-LG’ read, “Dozens of people will be stabbed to death at Daegu Baseball Stadium today. Be prepared,” was posted.
At 5:01 p.m., a citizen who saw the post sent a text report, and the Daegu National Police Agency Cyber Investigation Team is tracking down the poster.
The Samsung-LG game will be held at Daegu Samsung Lions Park from 6 p.m. that day. In response, Daegu Police Chief Kim Soo-young has visited the site and is in charge of the situation, and 200 officers, including riot police, police commandos, local police, and detectives, have been deployed to the stadium and patrols are being strengthened.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun has declared special security activities in response to the recent spate of stabbing crimes, and has decided to allow police to fire live ammunition without warning in the event of a violent crime.
The police will intensify patrols in public spaces by utilizing the full force of local police, police riot police, and detectives, and will take strong action against irresponsible and reckless cyber threats and unfounded fake news, without exception.
For a limited time, the police will mobilize all their resources, including off-duty personnel, to deploy to multi-use facilities and strengthen patrols to prevent vicious crimes.안전놀이터
