Suwon won 1-0 against Jeju United in the 27th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Suwon World Cup Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.
The match was an important one for both Suwon and Jeju. Suwon had a chance to shed their 12th place tag, while Jeju needed back-to-back wins to re-enter the mid-table.
The atmosphere was tense until the very end. In particular, the goalkeepers of both teams shined side by side. Yang Hyung-mo, returning from injury, saved crucial shots from Hayes and Lee Ju-yong. Jeju also showed off great dives from Kim Dong-jun in the first half and Kim Geun-bae in the second half.
