‘2023 MLB CUP KOREA’ to be held October 5-8 at Kangchang Hak Baseball Stadium in Jeju, Korea

[OSEN=Son Chan-ik Reporter] The ‘2023 MLB CUP KOREA’, the largest youth baseball tournament in Korea hosted by Major League baseball, will be held at Kangchanghak Baseball Stadium in Jeju for four days from October 5 (Thursday) to 8 (Sunday).
The ‘2023 MLB CUP KOREA’, which was first held in Korea in 2019 and will be held for the fourth time this year except for 2020, which was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, was held for 10 days from May 30 at Hwaseong Dream Park in Gyeonggi, with a total of 168 teams, including 63 teams in the U10 division and 105 teams in the U12 division, the largest number of participants in Korea, participating in the tournament, and eight teams in each division advanced to the main event through intense qualifying rounds.
In the U10 category, Ansan-Bucheon Little, Uijeongbu and Namyangju Han River Little, Gimpo Little, Gyeonggi, Suji Little, Yongin, Suji, Seongnam, Wirye Little, Gunpo Little, Incheon Namdong Little, and Incheon Yeosu Little will start the quarterfinal competition, In the U12 division, Daejeon Jung-gu Little, Incheon Seo-gu Little, Siheung Little, Gyeonggi Siheung Little, Seoul Gangdong Little, Gyeonggi Yangpyeong Little, Seoul Nowon Little, Daejeon Seo-gu Little, and Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Little will compete in the quarterfinals, with the finals of each division to be held on Sunday, October 8 at 10 a.m. ET.
The 2023 MLB CUP KOREA will also feature the first-ever Home Run Derby to determine the best slugger in Korean youth baseball. Through various events during the tournament, including the Home Run Derby, MLB will provide a fun and diverse experience for the players, regardless of whether they win or lose, and will give away generous prizes including MLB merchandise.레고토토
Meanwhile, MLB, which established the MLB Scholarship for the first time last year to support the development of youth baseball in Korea, will continue to work with the Korea Little League Baseball Federation to award the second MLB Scholarship this year, selecting 10 players based on a variety of criteria, including sportsmanship, baseball skills, and recommendations from coaches. This is the first time MLB has established a scholarship program outside of the United States, and the program is designed to make baseball more accessible to Korean youth, and to help prospects with good skills develop their baseball dreams in a supportive environment.
