Game 3 of the baseball semifinals between NC and SSG is just around the corner.

It’s going to be a no-holds-barred affair with NC looking to close out the series with three straight wins and SSG looking to bounce back.

Let’s go to a reporter on the field.

Yes, I’m at Changwon NC Park.

The third game of the Korean Baseball Organization semifinals between the NC Dinos and the SSG Landers is set to begin in just a few minutes at 6:30.

It’s a weekday evening, but the atmosphere is electric, with hardly an empty seat in sight.

Coming off a win over Dusan in the wild-card decider, NC took both the first and second games of the semifinals at Incheon Literature Stadium.

Riding the momentum of their three-game postseason winning streak, they’re looking to close out the series today and clinch an early playoff berth.

SSG, on the other hand, are in a must-win position, needing to finish the season with just one more loss.

How much the batting lineup, which has been lacking cohesion amidst the slump of their top batsman Choi Jeong-jeong, breaks out will be the key to whether or not they can make a comeback.

The starting pitchers for NC and SSG today, both left-handed, right?

[Reporter]

Yes, that’s right.

The home team, NC, has a foreign left-hander, Tanner, as their starting pitcher today.

Tanner had started the first game of the wild card decider against Doosan earlier in the day.

He had a rather poor outing, giving up five runs in four innings.

In the regular season this year, Tanner appeared in 11 games, posting a respectable 5-2 record with a 2.92 ERA.

He’s faced SSG once before.

He got the start and pitched 5⅓ innings, allowing two runs to earn the win.

SSG’s starter against Tanner will be left-hander Won-seok Oh.

Oh, who is 8-10 with a 5.23 ERA this season, has appeared in four games against NC.

He has a 2-2 record with a 4.98 ERA.먹튀검증

Oh Won-seok most notably started Game 3 of the Korean Series against Kiwoom last year, pitching 5⅔ innings of one-run ball to give his team the win.

With their backs against the wall, SSG is counting on Oh Won-seok to continue his ‘fall run’ today.

This is Yonhap TV’s Lee Seung-guk reporting from the Changwon NC Park.
