Four Tottenham Hotspur players and no Son Heung-min?
The Express, a British media outlet, ranked the best 11 players in the Premier League so far in the 2023-2024 season. It is the “best in the league” as of the 12th round. Son Heung-min, one of the main contributors to the Tottenham surge, was excluded.
The Express said: ‘There is no Manchester United player in the Premier League season’s best, but four Tottenham stars. The Premier League has produced plenty of drama just 12 games into the new season,” and elected 11 players.
The goalkeeper was Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario. Vicario has a stellar parade of saves and a reliable passing game. He’s arguably the best goalkeeper in the league.
Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier, Arsenal’s William Saliba, and Tottenham’s Mickey Vanderven and Destiny Udogie rounded out the back four. Tottenham took two of the four defensive spots. Both Vanderven and Udogie are starting in the Premier League for the first time this season.
In the midfield, Manchester City’s Rodri, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, and Tottenham’s James Maddison were selected.
The front three are Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Man City’s Elling Holland, and Aston Villa’s Olly Watkins.
The Express says: “Holland is once again the top scorer with 13 goals. Holland is tireless. He can score many more goals this season. Salah has scored 10 goals in 12 games for the Saudi Arabian side. He has also created four assists for his teammates,” he explained.
The final spot went to Watkins, not Son Heung-min.

Son Heung-min moved from left wing-forward to center-forward during the season. He is the team’s top scorer with eight goals. He has filled the void left by Harry Kane perfectly.
